The current Patriarch of the Assembly of Jerusalem is His Holiness +Mar David, who served as the Av Nasi for H.H. +Mar Michai up to his appointment as Patriarch in March 2008.

H.E. +Mar David was born in 1952 in the United States, the younger of two sons. +Mar David attended private elementary and high schools. From a very early age +Mar David devoted his life to Yeshua and served Him in various ways within the different religious institutions in which he grew up, including being one of three organists for the religious affiliation in which he was raised.

He was appointed as Apostle by Patriarch Mar Michai within the Assembly of Jerusalem on December 26th, 2002.

His Holiness is the co-founder of the "God We Need You Campaign," assisted in the establishment of the policy overseeing various government offices within the Assembly, assisted in the development of documentation and Biblical guidelines for the establishment of an official Yeshuan body which previously had been mixed in with the community of Essene-Nesarim, produced his first inspirational videos for the Assembly in 2005, and continues to produce similar videos for educational purposes among the members of the Assembly.

In 2008 the office of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem was moved to a private building near Thamel, Nepal. A writing office out of His Holiness' home remains in the U.S. to manage English correspondence.
